- As a LQUOM researcher, you will primarily be engaged in the development of quantum communication systems in collaboration with Yokohama National University (Horikiri Laboratory Faculty of Engineering, the Department of Physics)
- Example of specific research content

Skills related to one or more of the following 1-5 are desirable.

Development of optical systems including quantum memories based on rare-earth-doped crystals (e.g., Pr:YSO), entangled photon sources, and laser phase synchronization

Development of digital and analog control systems aimed at ensuring stable operation and improving the performance of optical systems

Miniaturization and modularization of quantum repeater systems (e.g., optical systems, electronics, and (opto-)mechanical components)

Theoretical research to improve quantum repeater performance and quantum communication protocols

Theoretical studies on implementation methods for application technologies such as quantum key distribution and distributed quantum computing using quantum communication
